Eastern Washington University is a comprehensive university that has both undergraduate and graduate programs of study. The campus is located southwest of the city in Cheney, Washington and is connected by excellent bus service. Eastern Washington University also offers programs at their beautiful downtown campus near the riverfront heart of Spokane.

Washington State University, located 80 miles south of the city, offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs of study. Washington State University also offers health care undergraduate programs and a few graduate programs int the downtown Spokane campus district.

State Supported Community Colleges In The Spokane Area

Spokane Community College is located in the northeast side of Spokane .

Spokane Falls Community College is located in the northwest side of Spokane.

Community colleges offer 2-year Associate of Arts degree for those planning to transfer on to a 4-year college or university to complete their last two years of their bachelors degree. Advisors at the community colleges help ensure that students are taking the correct courses for their desired 4-year degree.

Community colleges also offer a wide variety 2-year Associate In Applied Sciences degrees in a wide variety of vocational programs such as health care, computer and software technology, building trades, horticulture, business occupations, human services, cosmetology culinary arts, automotive technology, aviation technology, machinist/CNC technology, electronics, fire science, fashion merchandising, graphic design, hotel and restaurant management (see web site to the right for complete listing).
